DTH Solution

1.Dishtv Erros – 

Solve problems related to dishtv by yourself

1. Power Cycle
Most of the problems can be resolved by power cycling. STB power cycling means removing the main supply cord from the socket and reinserting it after few seconds.

2. 101 - No Access – All channels/ Few channels
- Please check if the channel is available in the opted package.
- If the channel is available in your base pack then please check for your recharge date, if expired then recharge and keep the Set Top Box on 550.
- If the payment is made and problem still persists, then Power Cycle the STB.
- Incase the problem lingers, call dishtv customer care & request for re-activation.
- To gain access to the channel which is not in the package, please call customer care and subscribe for the same.

3. 201 - Card Refresh Error
- Re-insert the VC properly.
- If still the problem contact your nearest dealer

4. 301 - Signal not found
- Power cycle the STB.
- Check if the STB is properly connected to the Dish antenna.
- If the problem still persists, contact your dishtv Service Agent.

5. 302 – Signal Unavailable
- This is a temporary problem.
- Power cycle the STB.
- Incase the problem is still there, contact your dishtv Service Agent.

6. 303 - Re-install services
- Power cycle the STB.
- Reinstall the STB by pressing “OK” on the remote.
- After completion of channel search, press red button to save the settings.
- Incase the problem is still there, contact your dishtv Service Agent.

7. 402 - Please check the Viewing Card
- Please insert the VC properly with the correct chip facing upward / downward as per instruction on the STB.
- Incase the problem is still there, contact your dishtv Service Agent.

Unsubscribed Channel - Error - 101
Follow the instructions given on the TV screen If the channel is available in your base pack, but may not able to view it then  Email at : lankadishtv.lk@gmail.com  with the unsubscribed channel number and screen shoot.
Viewing Card Deactivated - Error - 102
your dishtv recharge has expired if you see viewing card deactivated .  Please visit Lanka Dishtv & Multi Shop... to recharge your dishtv package. for more information Email at :

Card Refresh Error - Eror - 201
This problem occurs when the Viewing Card is not paired with the Set Top Box. Email your problem with Television or LCD screen shoot at : 
lankadishtv.lk@gmail.com Keep your STB on channel no 999 after  receiving instruction or response from us. make  sure you send us stb number and dishtv card no with email we can pair only if box was recharged from us
Signal Not Found - Error  - 301
Ensure that the Set Top Box is connected properly to the dishtv Antenna In case of heavy rain, wait till rain stops to regain signal If problem persists to know signals are coming or not goto link and follow these steps    or chk  follow step

Check Dish Antenna Signals

Go to MENU > HELP > STB INFO > SETUP > HOME FREQUENCY > OK ......
Now use remote channel up down arrow keys for scroll up & down and volume side keys for satellite shift between NSS6 & ASIASAT
Then Down you will see 
Signal Strength:   70% 
Signal Quality:     78%
if these both are above 55% then signals are OK if down check your dishtv antenna signals fix it find local engineer and set this

Re-install services
Please pull out and then reinsert the Viewing Card in your Set Top Box. Ensure that the Viewing Card is inserted correctly in the slot. sime side down and inside is correct or read guide come with dishtv box
Conditional Access
This message appears on the Movie On Demand Channel if the movie has not been ordered To activate the movie, follow the instructions on the TV screen If you do not get the movie within 10 minutes after sending your request to

AT029, AT030 - Issues with Foxtel Store + Box Office
This error message will appear if you're unable to access Foxtel Store + Box Office content. You may need to refresh your TV Guide:
  1. Press the active button on your Foxtel remote
  2. Select setup then MyStar settings
  3. Choose TV Guide refresh
  4. Press select again to start the refresh
  5. Once the TV Guide refresh has completed you should return to a channel. Don't press back while the refresh is in progress

E16, E16-4 - Please check your account
If you get this message it could mean any of the following:
  1. Your Foxtel box is not yet active. If you recently installed one and need to activate the service please call us on the number provided on the self-install instructions.
  2. Your account is suspended because of an overdue balance. Please log in to My Account or pay online to finalise the overdue amount.
  3. You may be trying to access a channel that isn't part of your package. To upgrade your channel package log in to My Account. You'll need to provide two of either your Smartcard number, your Foxtel account number or the account holder's date of birth (check your Welcome Pack or a bill).
  4. Your Foxtel box has been turned off at the power for a period of time. Please contact us.
  5. Your account is suspended because you placed it on hold. If you would like to reactivate your service, please get in touch.
E52, E52-32 - Searching for signal
This message will appear if you can't get Foxtel satellite service.

 Reset your Foxtel box and check for loose connections

Sometimes, all your box needs is a reboot. If you're in the middle of recording a show, you’ll lose it, but the reset won't delete anything from your MyStar Planner. If you have a MyStar box, you might have two Foxtel signal cables running from the box to the wall. It’s a good idea to check one cable at a time to avoid mixing them up:
  1. Reset your Foxtel box by switching the power off at the socket, then pull the power cord out from the back of the box.
  2. Leave the power disconnected for at least 30 seconds.
  3. If possible, unscrew both ends of the cable, blow out any dust that may have built up and screw it back in. If you can’t unscrew the cable, make sure it’s secured tightly.
  4. Plug the Foxtel power cord back in. Your Foxtel box should turn on and light up.
  5. The reboot process takes about six minutes and most of our boxes will automatically turn themselves back on. If your box is still showing the red standby light, try turning it on by pressing the standby button at the top of your remote.
  6. Still not getting a signal? Please contact us.
E30, E30-4 - Your service is currently scrambled
This message will appear if you have installed a new box or your existing box has been switched off at the power for a period of time.
  • If you recently installed a Foxtel box and need to activate the service, call the number on the self-install instructions you received for help.
  • If your Foxtel box has been switched off at the power for a period of time, you'll need to reset your box.
Reset your Foxtel box with your card out

4.Airtel DigitalTv :-

Airtel DTH : Error Code B0001

If you see an error in the TV screen like “NO SIGNAL (Error B0001) , then the main reason for this Error may be
  • Bad weather conditions like Heavy Rainfall, Dense Cloud surroundings etc. We have to wait until the weather condition to become normal. This is the great drawback of every DTH TV.
  • If the sky is clear without any rainfall, then you have to check further options  like
  • Check whether are cables are in Proper condition without any fault ,
  • Check all connectors in Set top Box are fitted properly without loose connections . Check the connections and restart the set top box.
  • Check whether there is any obstacle or huge things that cover in front of dish tv antenna

Airtel DTH: Error Code 2

  • If you receive error in the screen like “Viewing card is not inserted properly in Set top box (Error Code : 2) “, then the reason should  be the problem with Airtel DTH viewing card.

      How to Insert Airtel Dish TV card:

    • Take the viewing card out from the set top box and gently clean it with a soft cloth and look whether there is any scratches in the chip area. Now, Carefully insert the viewing card , with the Chip facing in downward direction and Restart the Set top Box.
  • Still the problem continues, then you have to contact Airtel DTH customer care to replace the Viewing CARD.

Airtel DTH: Error Code 4 

  • If you receive error in the screen like “The Channel is not Subscribed by you (Error Code :4)”, then obviously you did not subscribe for the channel or the channel is not included in your recharge pack. But if you think the channel is subscribed by you, then contact customer care to avail this channel.

Airtel DTH: Error Code 6

  • If you see error in screen like “Account is suspended due to low balance (Error Code: 6)” , then you have to recharge your DTH card as you reached the recharge due date already. Sometimes , it will take maximum one day to activate the channels pack, so we have to wait until to see the subscribed pack. After one day, if the problem continues, you can call customer care number to know the status of the recharge.


 5.Reliance Digital TV (Big Tv) :-


      ERROR CODES AND RESOLUTION

Q. What is "Error 100 - Smart Card not inserted" and how do I resolve it?
A. If you get "Error 100 - Smart Card not inserted Error" on your TV screen it means either:
1. The smart card is not inserted or
2. It is inserted incorrectly i.e. upside down or not inserted completely or
3. The card inserted does not belong to Reliance Digital TV
4. Dust is accumulated on the smart card chip which results in communication failure

To resolve:
1. Ensure that the card inserted is a valid Reliance Digital TV smart card.
2. Remove your smart card, wipe it with a clean dry cloth and
3. Re-insert the smart card back in the smart card slot. Follow the arrow direction on your smart card to insert it correctly
4. Press CH+/- on your remote to change channel and enjoy your services
5. In case it is not resolved, switch off and on your STB from mains.
6. If the issue persist, please call Reliance Digital TV customer care on 1800 200 9001 or if you see some other error please refer to the respective error for resolution.

Q. What is "Error 102 - Smart Card PAIRING ERROR" or "Error 108 - Smart Card PAIRING ERROR" and how do I resolve it?
A. If you get "Error 102 - Smart Card Pairing Error" or Error 108 - Smart Card Pairing Error" on your TV screen, it means your Set-Top Box is not paired with your Smart Card Number. It is mandatory to pair your Set-Top box with your Smart Card and hence we recommend you do it as soon as possible to enjoy uninterrupted services of Reliance Digital TV.
To pair your Set-Top box with your Smart Card Number:
1. Call Reliance Digital TV customer care on 1800 200 9001 (toll free) and provide your SCN number.
2. You will get a pairing notifier (alert) on your TV.
3. Note the CASN mentioned in the notifier and provide it to the customer care representative.

Q. What is "Error 103 - Invalid Smart Card" and how do I resolve it?
A. If you get "Error 103 - Invalid Smart Card" on your TV screen it means the inserted card is not a valid Reliance Digital TV smart card. Insert your Reliance Digital TV smart card in smart card slot as per the arrow direction on the smart card.

Q. What is "Error 105: Smartcard Communication Error" or "Error 106 - Smart Card Communication Error" and how do I resolve it?
A. If you get "Error 106 - Smart Card Communication Error" on your TV screen it means either:
1. The smart card is not inserted correctly i.e. the smart card chip is not in physical contact with the card reader.
2. Dust is accumulated on the smart card chip which results in communication failure
To resolve:
1. Remove your smart card, wipe it with a clean dry cloth on both sides and insert it back into Smartcard slot (the narrow slot and not the wide CI slot) as per the arrow direction on the smart card.
2. Wait for 5 seconds, change channel and check if Error screen disappears
3. In case it is not resolved, perform STB Power OFF and ON. In case you see software upgrade screen on your TV screen wait until the software is upgraded and check if issue is resolved.
4. If issue persists, please call Reliance Digital TV Customer Care on 1800 200 9001.

Q. What is "Error 200 - Unsubscribed Channel" and how do I resolve it?
A. If you get "Error 200 - Unsubscribed Channel" on your TV screen it means either:
1. The tuned channel is not part of your subscription package/subscribed offers or
2. Your account balance is very low
To resolve via Reliance Digital TV Android App:
1. Go to Customer Care > Troubleshooting > Error 200
2. Follow the steps mentioned in Error 200.
To resolve via Call Centre:
3. 1. To subscribe call Reliance Digital TV Customer Care on 1800 200 9001.
4. 2. Ensure you have sufficient balance on your Smart Card. To check your account balance, Go to My Account > Account Balance on the Reliance Digital TV Android App or tune to My Services > My Account section available on home menu.
